According to Ford Motor company’s newsletter, the company’s Board of Directors have declared a 3rd quarter dividend of $0.05 per share on the company’s Class B and common stock. Since the news came out regarding the dividend, the stock has been trading in the low nines. Near the end of the trading session, more than 33.64 million stocks were traded. This dividend is payable on Sept. 4, 2012.

Ford has recently donated $50,000 to Red Cross to help with disaster relief in the country. The funds will be used to assist with the relief efforts associated with the recent wildfires in Colorado and Denver areas.

Ford’s 2013 model Focus scored 23 mpg city and 26 mpg combined. One of the most praised features include the four-cylinder performance EcoBoost engine. It is expected that by next year, there will be 1.6 million EcoBoost engines produced by Ford.
